ArcGIS Online-Best Hiking Areas in North America

This map was developed in ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Online is a great way to create an interactive map to convey information that may be of interest to others!
Mapping specific areas such as these hiking areas and national parks is fairly simple with ArcGIS Online. First, I created a simple Excel document with latitude and longitude coordinates of each of the locations, along with pictures and informative website links. Then, the excel document was uploaded into ArcGIS Online which mapped it using the given coordinates. Each site can have a modified symbol and color, and the pop up windows can also be modified to convey the information that the user wishes. In my pop up windows, a picture along with a website and the title of the national park and/or hiking area is displayed.
